Back in the swim

Well, watching Mike today at his swim meet, you never would have guessed that this time last week he was flat on his back, sick as a dog. It was a great day for the Eagles! Some highlights:

• The boys' 200-yard medley relay finished third in 2 minutes flat, a new school record. Wish I could have seen it, but they started the meet early, and I was still at lunch.


• Mike came in fifth in the 50-yard freestyle, with a time of 26.28 seconds:
  
  


• Mike did his 100-yard breaststroke in 1:12.74:
  
  
  
  He was ecstatic to start the season off with a new personal best and didn't realize until he got on the bus and his coach handed him the ribbon that he won the event. Let's take another look at that scoreboard, shall we?

It really amazes me when I think of how I have watched not just Mike grow as a swimmer but the whole group grow as a team. Knox rocks the blocks!!!
