San Antonio adventures

I've been in San Antonio for a few days visiting Mike and Sarah. We are having a great time, but I haven't really taken many photographs. Here are some highlights though.

Facetiming with Annabelle and seeing her apartment in Denmark. Sassy liked that, too:

The squirrels here are not to be messed with:

. . . but not for long

Remember a week ago, when Annabelle came home from Rochester? Well, she's off again, this time for a summer in Copenhagen!

Annabelle is a crackerjack packer and managed to stuff a summer's worth of stuff into one 25-pound backpack and her carry-on tote. I can't do that for a weekend trip:

On her way:

Bon voyage, Annabelle!

Can't wait to visit her in July!

Annabelle's home . . .

After work today, I went out for dinner and drinkies with the girls from the office:

From there, I headed over to the airport to pick up Annabelle, who is home temporarily from college:

We are all happy to have her home, but Ginger is the most enthusiastic:

Chilly pomp and circumstance

Fred and I watched the webcast of UR's commencement exercises today, partly so we could hear Annabelle perform with the band and partly so we could get some idea of what next year will be like for us. We learned that we should probably pack a sweater.

The band inside their tent:

I found this hat to be amusing and sad all at once:

Look, it's Christian:

How cold is it, you ask:

The music director was kind enough to treat the players to Starbucks after the ceremony was over:

I can't believe my baby is going to be graduating in a year!

Happy birthday to Fred

What do you give the man who has everything? Something to drink!

And a boozin' lawn gnome that lights up at night:
