First day of school

Thank you, Mike, for humoring me and providing me with a first-day-of-school pic:

I hope you have a wonderful senior year!

Welcome to Virginia!

Where there's an escalator in Target:

And where you have to drive through a long line to drop stuff off at Goodwill:

Ginger doesn't care about escalators or lines though. She's just happy to finally have a fenced-in backyard:

Two furry fellows

Mike will have to shave his when he gets back to school and AFROTC starts back up, but this can be a whole new look for Fred:

Oh, Auntie Em!

In honor of his retirement, the kids and I gave Fred a painting of our Fort Leavenworth house done by my friend Marianthe Snyder. What a great way to remember 3 happy years here!

One more ceremony

We went to our final scholarship ceremony this morning, this one sponsored by the Michaels Organization, the contractor who manages housing here on post at Ft. Leavenworth. Nice to see a great group of kids get some recognition (and cash!):

Moving on

Fred, Annabelle, and I have been in the DC suburbs for the past few days, looking for a new home for the next phase of our life (civilian life, empty nest, etc.). This is it:

Now to hurry home to Kansas and get packed so we can get back here before taking Annabelle off to school!
