After our "Dam" good lunch (see previous post), we went shopping for some decent footwear for Mike. It turns out that canvas top-siders with holes in the soles are NOT recommended for snow and ice, so we found him some nice, cheap boots at Target. Speaking of Target, I love how even the stores I'm used to look so quaint in Colorado (or at least in the ski resort parts of the state):
While Mike was inside that 7-Eleven at Breckenridge, Sarah and I hatched a diabolical plan to ambush him:
We got him!
Mike and Sarah at Breckenridge:
Our hotel was just down the street from an incredible ice castle I had just read about on the Internet. We braved the cold and went in for a quick visit:
I guess it's true what they say--love finds a way:
The kids took turns sitting on the ice throne:
Annabelle's glasses fogged over immediately when she went in:
My rear end was cold enough, so there was no way I was going to sit on a big ol' block of ice!
Check out this amazing video of violinist Lindsey Stirling in the very same ice castle:

I love that ice-castle! I've got to send that link to my nephew, he just showed me shadow-dance. I'd never seen her before!

Glad you enjoyed it, Kathe! I had never seen her before either.
