Annabelle's calculus project

I can't even begin to explain this except to say that it's The Doctor's bowtie (from Dr. Who):

Take some equations to create a graph; I used x cubed and negative x cubed, plus a couple y=whatever lines to serve as endpoints. Whatever it is, there should be an enclosed space between the lines. Choose shapes; I used semi-circles, perpendicular to the y axis. Now, find the base equation for the graph (top equation-bottom equation=base). Use that as the radius for the area equation of semi-circles (A=1/2pi r^2). Now, take the integral from endpoint to endpoint of the area equation to get the volume of the graph as done in cross sections of shapes! Cut them out! Paint them! Make Doctor Who references! :)

LOL, when I started reading this comment, I thought it was spam because I wasn't understanding a word of it. Poor Annabelle--your dad and I lost the ability to help you with your math two or three years ago. We are awfully proud of you though!
