Fort Knox takes an inordinate amount of pride in how our schools hardly ever close due to the weather. It really bugs Mike and Annabelle that every county around us will shut down or go on a 2-hour delay but not Fort Knox. Well, we are supposed to be facing a pretty big winter storm over the next 24 hours and miracle of miracles, Knox has already declared the schools to be closed tomorrow! I scrapped plans to cook supper tonight and have ordered pizza in celebration.
I'm really not even sure why I am so excited. I was going to get to stay home tomorrow anyway. I am just hard-wired to appreciate an unexpected school closing, I guess.
